51 days to go and it is really dragging. everything major is done and i'm bored....nothing to do. we decided to invite our new sunday school class so i got more envelopes addressed and they will be sent out tomorrow. the waiting game SUCKS. i cant wait for a vacation away and I cant wait to start our married life and not have to drive to piedmont (no longer "home" for me) every single night. i feel like i cant ever fully relax when i get home after work, b/c i know in just 2-3 hrs i have to leave. it's been a long road of doing that and i will really be so glad when i dont have to do that anymore.
on another note - i did find out yesterday and i *should* be getting a week off at the end of september!! the family i nanny for is taking a trip to michigan and i get time off from sept 22-26. i'll gladly take it! i'm sure there will be more things I'll need to get done by then but for now, i'm just glad to know i have something new to look forward to.
i have my second shower in about a week and a half - i'm looking forward to that! and on sept 3, i get to go to verizon for my new phone. kudos to this phone which has gotten me through about 4 yrs on/off. i think i know just which one i want but we'll have to see how expensive it is after my rebate and all.
i asked for a day off on the 27th...i have a dress fitting and our last premarital counseling meeting with my uncle that morning and its a lot to pack in with a 7 mo old and the fact that i have to pick up the kiddo by 12:30 still, so i just asked for it off.
ppl are not rsvp'ing like i thought they would. we've gotten...maybe...5 emails? some ppl have said (before we sent out invites) that they would be coming but i still need to know FOR SURE so we can have somewhere near the correct amount of food for the reeption. so you, yes YOU - if you receieved an invitation and have not replied yet, PLEASE do so asap!! Even if you cant come, we still need to know. Tell everyone else you see that received an invite....RSVP!!
i think all the groomsmen/bridesmaid stuff is done. as far as i know, all measurements are in for the groomsmen and 3 out of 4 bridesmaids have scheduled alterations for dresses if they needed them. jay has told me a million times not to let myself stress over that.....i'm trying not to but the OCD part of me wants it to be done (scheduled, that is). It takes time to have it done, you know. =)
I do know that all of our gift-shopping for our wedding party is D-U-N! I had way more fun that Jay did on this one - he got all his pretty much the same thing, but I shopped for days for mine - everybody's is different and suits them personally.....I think. =) I got the rehearal dinner ordered today and it scheduled to be delivered around 6pm on the 3rd, so we should be able to eat by 7pm or so. Rehearsal starts at 6pm at the church so the quicker we get it all done, the quicker we can eat!
